Transform your MMA1 or DEVAUX MATIX reel into a large harbor!

The adapter we offer is an ideal solution for transforming your MMA1 or Devaux mATIX type reel spools into ' large harbor ' reels with a more than doubled axle diameter: 40 or 50mm.

Semi-automatic reels are very popular in PALM for their strength and lightness, particularly for nymph or dry fishing in fast water, or even for toc . A disadvantage of this reel is nevertheless the small diameter of the axis (18.4mm) which tends to twist the line and reduces the speed of recovery and therefore fishing. The usual solution of adding backing unnecessarily weighs down the reel and makes drying longer and more difficult when returning from fishing, as do DIY projects using foam or other materials.

The adapter is exclusively designed for the spools of the semi-automatic reel MMA1, DEVAUX MATIX or equivalent (17.8mm between flanges) . It is made up of two interlocking half-pieces that can be securely attached to the reel using a pin and side screws. A hole is also provided for attaching the backing to the reel. The adapter can be disassembled and reassembled several times if necessary.

Metallic black in color, it is very discreet once mounted on the reel.

It exists in several models to perfectly adapt to your fishing style and your equipment:

2 diameters of 40 and 50mm: the 40mm model can accommodate a natural or synthetic DT3 silk and a little backing if necessary; the 50mm model is intended for those who nymph fish with only line or toc;
2 weights: a light model (L) that does not weigh down the reel is ideal for those looking for lightness or who do not wish to disrupt the current balance of their rod/reel assembly. The heavy model (P) allows it to slightly improve the static rod/reel balance for rods that are a little too heavy at the head. Its weight moves the balance point depending on the type of cane by approximately 1 cm towards the heel of the cane for the 50P model.

The different models are compatible with the addition of an adaptable crank on the reel (notches on the 50mm models make assembly easier).

simple mais efficace

reçu en 72 h, cet adaptateur 50 que j'ai monté sur une des 2 bobines de mon Otofly est spécialement dédié à la pêche en nymphe au grand fil....donc sans soie. D'une facilité déconcertante quant à sa mise en place, le schéma de montage étant très explicite avec photos à l'appui et permet un montage en moins de temps qu' il ne me faut pour faire ce commentaire ( fait avec les vis de fixation fournies) Après montage, le moulinet tourne sans que rien ne frotte ou coince...Très bonne idée qui permet d'éviter des mètres de backing pour profiter au maximum des avantages du large abor. Ne reste plus qu'à l'essayer en situation réelle au bord de l' eau .....dès la prochaine ouverture.
