Floating lines are the most common for dry, wet or nymph fly fishing near the surface.

Lines with the DT “ Double tapper ” profile are less widespread than the WF profiles these days despite their great interest for technical casting in rivers and access to difficult positions.

Their greater weight than the WF after the first 9 meters facilitates medium throws without false throws as well as rolling throws . It is therefore a fly line to try as soon as you progress in casting.

The line is available in weights of 4 and 5 which are suitable for many types of fishing as well as 2 and 3 for fine dry or nymph fishing or in fast water under the rod.

Due to the DT profile, the fly line can be used on a rod with a heavier number (DT5 fly line on a #6 rod) or on a rod with the same number as the fly line (#5) which is a bit powerful.
