This version of the green grasshopper with red legs corresponds to a type of grasshopper common in the mountains, particularly in the Pyrenees .

This 'bullet triple decker' rig is made of foam (three layers) and is positively unsinkable : you can therefore use it even in very violent currents or in waterfalls.

In rivers, it is fishable especially in summer and autumn and can be used all day long (it is a very good fly to wait for the evening strike, especially during very hot weather!).
In a reservoir, it can be used all year round, especially on windy days with small waves.

The silhouette of this "fly" and its flexible legs in constant movement certainly make it one of the best flies for exploring the grassy edges of a river or reservoir, where large trout and black bass are posted.
