STR Switch Line Fishing: A natural French line designed for fine fishing for salmon and sea trout

The STR#8/9 was designed for delicate fishing for salmon or sea trout that settle into a hole as soon as a “Scandi or Skagit” Shooting Head or other synthetic Spey lines snaps.
Its delicacy is due to its unique profile, developed by the Pêche à Soie team.
It can also be used for fishing for very large trout in large rivers.
This line can be used on #8/9 single handed rods or two handed rods like switch or spey for better fly drift.

Weight of 32g (or 500 grains) on the casting head which is 10m long.

Natural silk offers the qualities of:

- maximum discretion

- better wind penetration because it is denser than a synthetic material

- lack of memory and durability

The silk is pre-ground and therefore can be used directly.

The silk is fitted with a loop in the color of the silk on the leader side.
