PRO Double Tapper (DT) Floating Line
A premium tri-color DT line for fine fishing
This high quality Double Taper silk is tri-colored : dark green on one side, ivory on the other with the central part gray, allowing you to clearly see the length of silk released.
Being reversible like all DT silks, you can therefore choose to fish with the green or ivory part on the fish side according to your preference.
The long taper length (6.4m) allows for a very delicate presentation of the fly.
It is equipped with a micro loop at each end to facilitate the assembly of the bottom lines.
Floating lines are the most common for fishing dry flies , wet flies or nymphs near the surface.
Lines with a DT " Double tapper " profile are less widespread than WF profiles these days despite their great interest for technical river casting and access to difficult positions.
Their greater weight than the WF after the first 9 meters makes it easier to make medium throws without false throws as well as rolling throws . It is therefore a profile to try as soon as you progress in casting.
Due to the DT profile, the line can be used on a heavier rod (DT5 line on a #6 rod) or on a slightly powerful rod of the same number as the line (#5).
