The CDC beige/light ochre sailboat orange body in CDC does not imitate any particular insect but rather these multitudes of small dipterans, ephemerellids and other small light caddisflies which hatch all day long throughout the season.
Its preferred routes are rather slow chalkstream type rivers where its low floatation and its silhouette deceive the fish who often catch it with small significant gobbles.
This light ochre colored sail is also an excellent reservoir fly, especially in light winds.
It is mounted on premium quality barbless hooks.
