GUIDELINE STOKED #8/9: light and easy rods for pike, sea trout and seaside and tropical fishing (bonefish)

The Stoked series uses the latest material designs and production technologies that allow us to manufacture entry-level fishing rods at a level that is a total game-changer. At the end of the development process, we were so impressed that we had to call them what we felt: Stoked. The Stoked Series also features many of the same eco-friendly components as the Elevation Series, providing good motivation for environmentally conscious anglers.

Compared to the Elevation series, these rods feature a slightly lower modulus carbon 24T/30T/36T versus 36T/40T, making them easier to cast for beginners and more forgiving of casting errors . However, these rods are light and responsive with an action and feel that is associated with rods of a much higher level of performance and price. The action of the rod is moderately fast with a sensitive and stable tip. The curvature is progressive throughout the blank, which gives good sensations and allows easy connection to the rod for all types of casts.

Stoked 9' #8-9: Typical rods for more intensive fishing for migratory trout, pike, salmon, gray trout and bonefish. These rods are suitable for rivers, lakes, inshore and flat fishing where big fish and difficult conditions are common. Reel seat with heel.

Stoked 9'6 #8: This rod length is a great compromise and a favorite among many for lake, shore and river fishing for trout, lake trout and salmon. The slightly longer rod than a 9ft gives better reach in rivers, and height when fishing in deep water or from a boat or float tube. Due to a slightly deeper bend than a 9' rod, this length is easier to use for Spey casting and using jig heads when river fishing. However, it is not as long as a 10 foot rod and will be less affected by wind when fishing inshore and will have more power for those fishing spots exposed to bad weather. Reel seat with heel.

Technical details

The blanks are painted in a translucent olive green color with a hint of metallic glitter.

New improved wells handles without cork reinforcements. This helps reduce epoxy resin levels in the handles.

For coatings on the blank, guides and mounting glue for the handles and reel seat, we use a bio-based, low-toxicity epoxy, tested and approved with extremely low levels of regulated chemicals. This also helps to improve the working atmosphere during the assembly phase of production, minimizing odors hazardous to health.

The rods are fitted with lightweight hard chrome guides.

The rod case and rod tube cover are made from recycled REPREVE™ polyester.

Fishing rod tubes are made from recyclable polypropylene (PP), they are lighter and have diameters 20% smaller than standard PVC tubes. This will save space and money when the rods are transported both from the factory and by the user. Due to its durability and the ability to melt it down and turn it into plastic pellets, PP is both reusable and recyclable for the production of new products.

All rods are made up of 4 pieces.
