High N Dry Liquid Fly Float: One of the best fly floats in CDC (in large 67 ml bottle)
This award winning Liquid Float has been designed with special and unique materials and is the perfect float for fly fishermen who prefer to dip their fly in a container. This application method is simple, easy and fast and allows the fly to be completely covered with a barrier that keeps moisture out. It works well on flies tied with all types of materials (including CDC) and is especially effective for floating large stimulators and hoppers tied with foam. Simply dip and cast. It contains no organic solvents, is 100% solid and environmentally friendly .
This is our favorite product for any fly with a CDC body, wings, or legs. Instead of blowing excess floatant off the fly after dipping, we like to tie the fly to a bungee cord on the vest/chestpack, hold the leader, and let the fly bounce by tapping the leader. This is a very effective way to get rid of excess soaking fluid and get the fly fresh and ready to catch. A few false casts are also effective in removing excess moisture.
High N Dry Liquid Floatant is not just a riverside product, if you tie your own flies and need a pre-treatment, this product is ideal! With the vise, you can let the product soak into certain materials like dubbing bodies and synthetics to improve their properties. For selective application like this, we recommend using a fine brush.
The product comes in a high density polyethylene (HDPE) bottle with a silicone seal on the cap. This packaging ensures that the container will not leak onto your vest and cause damage. The cap is attached to the container with a tie to prevent loss. The wide opening allows even the largest insects to be placed in the container. The container holds 67ml of flotation product , instead of about 20ml as most of our competitors do.
